What Do We Do?

We use state-of-the-art technology to selectively apply conformal coating your PCB's. We then cure the conformal coating using a UV oven. We also offer potting, ruggedizing, wire tacking, and encapsulating compounds chosen to suit your project; again utilizing a UV cure product. If a fast UV turnaround is not what you're looking for - ask us about alternative choices. Our new "Specialty Coatings Division" will allow us to use almost anything your project requires!

Although our equipment is capable of extreme accuracy we always take into consideration that things happen. We do 100% inspection of all coated boards in our Black Room (complete with black ceiling lights and black magnifier lights). Boards are inspected in comparison to the customer's drawing to ensure that coating has been applied correctly. A final black light inspection (we call it the "Sanity Check") is completed prior to boards being packed and shipped back to you.

What does this mean for you? Assurance that your boards will be returned to you coated as requested. You will have a well-protected and superior looking product.

All employees are provided with proper ESD footwear, smocks and hand cream. Daily ESD testing logs are kept to ensure that all employees are passing on an hourly basis. Production floors are all taped with a copper grid and covered with ESD protected paint. All carts and tables used in production are also properly grounded.

We are currently running four coating lines at a minimum of nine hours daily. This allows us to guarantee a maximum turn around time of 2-3 full business days. Due to recent renovations and new ownership of the company, we have given ourselves the ability to once again take on large volumes of work.

Due to the increase in our workload along with our commitment to customer service, we are currently working closely with a software designer to implement a new inventory control system. We will eventually be adding a customer portal to our website that will allow you to see the status of your boards. This is just one other way we are organizing our tremendous growth to ensure that we continue providing the level of excellence and professionalism our clients have been accustomed to.

Northern Coatings has our own driver. No more lost or damaged boxes from the leading couriers. Our driver will put all of your boards safely into his truck, and deliver them door to door. A flat rate is charged regardless of quantity. If required, you will be given our driver's direct cell phone contact number. This way you will know exactly when to expect him.
